This phase focuses on the overall mechanical design of the ATV. Teams will need to ensure that their vehicle meets all safety and design requirements as per rule book.
Points: 50Teams must present their ATV's electrical system, including battery management, wiring, motor controllers, and safety features. Judges will assess the design, efficiency, and safety compliance of the electrical components. It should meet all the requirements as per rule book.
Points: 50Measure the ATV's acceleration capabilities over a short, straight course.
Criteria: Fastest time to cover the set distance wins.
Points: 100Test the ATV's handling and agility through a tight course with sharp turns and obstacles.
Criteria: Completion of the course with the least penalties (for hitting obstacles or going off course). Distance covered and time taken to complete the race without mechanical failures.
Points: 100Challenge the ATV's torque and traction by climbing a steep incline.
Criteria: Ability to reach the top of the hill in the shortest time without stalling or rolling back.
Points: 100Test the ATV's suspension and low-speed control by navigating through a rocky, uneven terrain.
Criteria: Completion of the course without getting stuck or damaging the vehicle.
Points: 100The ATV has to pull a weighted block over a certain distance.
Criteria: Fastest time to cover the distance wins.
Points: 100Assess the ATV's ability to navigate through shallow water obstacles without stalling or taking on water.
Criteria: Successful crossing in the shortest time.
Points: 100Assess the durability, energy efficiency, and reliability of the ATV in a long-distance race over varied terrain.
Criteria: The vehicles must continuously run for ten minutes. The one with the most number of laps in 10 minutes is considered the winner.
